The supermoon on Monday may have underwhelmed people in some parts of the globe because of cloudy skies that hid the lunar wonder.

But some were lucky enough to witness the event in all its glory. Still, others were even luckier to have snapped up a shot.

Earthlings armed with the right camera (even just smartphones), and blessed with clear skies, have captured the most beautiful pictures of the historic event.

The spectacle, of course, won't happen again until 2034. For earthlings who missed it, we present the best photos of the supermoon taken from around the world.
