At the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, Nissan has unveiled the 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition.

With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is expected to take over the box office upon its release in December, Nissan did not waste the opportunity to tie up its Rogue SUV to the highly anticipated movie.

Star Wars In The Nissan Rogue

According to Nissan, the limited edition Rogue One: A Star Wars Story -themed SUV is the first time that a vehicle will come with Star Wars branding.

The add-on package, which comes with a $1,990 price tag, can only be purchased on the Rogue SV trim level for the vehicle, which has the Sun and Sound Touring package that includes a panoramic moonroof and an audio system from Bose.

The Star Wars branding on the special edition Rogue will mostly come in the form of logos and badges. Decals for the logos of the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance are featured on the SUV's front doors, along with a badge for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The door kick plates of the SUV also have an illuminated Star Wars logo, while the interior of the vehicle features more Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance badges, unique floor mats and some accent lighting.

The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story-inspired vehicle will only come in two colors, black and white. Only 5,400 units of the SUV will be made, with 5,000 to be released in the United States and 400 to be released in Canada.

The Star Wars branding on the SUV might not be as extreme as what hardcore fans would want, but the additional designs are still noticeable without looking too gimmicky.

Additional Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Collector's Item

Customers who purchase the $1,990 package along with the Rogue SUV will also be receiving a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story collector's item in the form of a full-size Death Trooper helmet. It should probably not be worn while driving the vehicle, but it does look cool enough to make fans take a second look at the 2017 Nissan Rogue if they are already in the market to buy an SUV anyway.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Set To Hit Theaters

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be arriving in theaters on Dec. 16. Excitement for the movie has been building up since August, as the released trailer featured the return of Darth Vader on the big screen.

Star Wars Battlefront will receive its next DLC, Rogue One: Scarif, alongside the launch of the movie.
