Electronic Arts has confirmed that the Death Star DLC for its multiplayer shooter Star Wars: Battlefront will be adding two new characters to the game's roster.

These characters are no other than bounty hunter Bossk and everybody's favorite Wookie, Chewbacca.

The announcement was made during the EA Star Wars Panel at Star Wars Celebration Europe, which was hosted by Ewok actor Warwick Davis and DICE design director Niklas Fegreaus.

In addition to having Chewbacca and Bossk to the game, the Death Star DLC will introduce three new maps which will feature battles happening outside and inside the Death Star. There will also be new vehicles in the DLC, such as TIE Bombers, along with blasters and Star Cards.

There seems to be a big emphasis on space battles in the DLC, and it is looking likely through the trailer that the classic trench run scene that many fans will remember from Star Wars: A New Hope will be included in the expansion pack. In addition to the space battles though, there will be parts featuring close quarters combat that will be happening within the hallways of the Death Star.

The Death Star DLC will be the third major expansion for the title after Outer Rim and Bespin with only one more DLC being planned for the game. It is expected to be released this fall.

After the Death Star DLC, there will be one more expansion, and Electronic Arts has been very secretive about it. Rumors are suggesting that the fourth and final DLC for Star Wars: Battlefront will tie in with Rogue One, the next movie in the Star Wars franchise that is set to release this holiday season on Dec. 16.

The rumors turned out to be very true, as the final DLC for Star Wars: Battlefront is named Rogue One: Scarif. Scarif is the new planet in the upcoming movie, and will be the prime location of the expansion.

The announcement was made at the same event, and with Chewbacca and Bossk to be added to the game with the Death Star DLC, the Rogue One: Scarif DLC will introduce rebel Jyn Erso and Director Krennic, the main characters of Rogue One, as playable characters.

The Rogue One: Scarif DLC will feature the same storyline as the movie, with players heading into battle to acquire the plans of the original Death Star. There has been no preview of the DLC's gameplay yet, but according to Electronic Arts, the DLC will be released in time for Rogue One's release in theaters, with Season Pass holders gaining access to the expansion two weeks in advance.
