An IPA file for what appears to be the final build of Samsung's Gear Manager app for iOS has showed up online.

Gear Manager App For iOS

Owners of Samsung's smartwatches, the Gear S2 and its successor, the Gear S3, can download the app and install it on your iPhones, assuming that you're currently on iOS 8.4 and up. Keep in mind that this leaked IPA file, while seemingly the final build, is still pretty much in beta, so some bugs are in order, though the app rather gives you a once-over of what the official build will look like once released.

First to bring the leaked IPA into the fore was Korean Tizen development community Tizen Cafe, which trickled down the XDA Developers forum, where several users confirmed that the leaked IPA was in fact the latest beta build and was able to pair with Samsung Gear S3 and Gear S2 models.

How To Download Gear Manager For iOS

Downloading the leaked build of the Gear Manager app involves a few simple steps, though we recommend that you simply wait for Samsung to roll out the official stable version. But if you still itch to download the beta, then download at your own risk.

To install the Gear Manager app for iOS, you must have your iPhone connected to your computer. Download the IPA file and double-click it when finished to prompt iTunes to open. Sync your iPhone, select Gear S3 and install.

Go to Settings on your iPhone, then go to General, then tap Device Management and choose the option to trust the Samsung certificate.

Perform a factory reset on your Gear S2 or Gear S3. Switch on Bluetooth and pair the respective device with the Gear Manager app for iOS.

To reiterate: it's best to just wait for the stable release since the beta build is expected to come with bugs unsquashed. As of this time, several users have also reported that there are only a number of watch faces and apps you can install on the Gear devices from the app. Additionally, if you've previously purchased custom watch faces on Android, there's no way to migrate them to iOS, according to Softpedia.

It's likely that Samsung will add more apps and watch faces when Gear Manager is officially released to the public.

The Samsung Gear S3 is the company's latest smartwatch entry following the Gear S2 released last year. The Exynos-powered Gear S3 comes with a Tizen-based operating system, GPS, a 1.3-inch touchscreen Gorilla Glass SR+ display, a rotating bezel and MST technology that'll allow Samsung Pay, the company's mobile payment system.
