Vertu, the English luxury phone manufacturer, has come up with a premium phone designed to meet the needs of the global traveler. Constellation will have a dual SIM capability and support for multiple bands. The phone is expected to launch by mid-February.

Luxurius Phone Designed For The Global Traveler

Constellation is the first Vertu phone that has a dual SIM functionality, allowing users to switch back and forth between two different networks effortlessly and seamlessly. The phone also provides support for 34 international bands so users can use it no matter where they are in the world.

Vertu Constellation Specs

The Vertu Constellation has a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display resolution that has 2,560 by 1,440 pixels and 538 PPI. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of expandable storage. The phone will also come equipped with a 12 megapixel rear camera with 4K video support, a fingerprint scanner, and will run under Android Marshmallow.

Constellation will also have a USB Type-C port, a wireless charging functionality, and a 3,220mAh battery. High-quality audio is also achieved with its Dolby Digital Plus virtual surround sound and front-facing stereo speakers. The phone will also have iPass, the world's largest Wi-Fi network.

Vertu Constellation's Over-The-Top Features

Now this is where things get luxurious. Vertu has the reputation of focusing on a phone's aesthetics, and with the Constellation, nothing has been spared and everything is over the top. The phone will be built using anodized aluminum and finished with leather that will come from "a specialist, family-run tannery in Italy." The display will also have a scratchproof, 140-carat 6th generation sapphire crystal glass.

Another highlight of the phone is its ability to make encrypted calls using Silent Circle's services, in case you want to make a highly sensitive phone call. There's also a ruby insert, which also functions as a shortcut key for the Vertu Concierge, a 24-hour concierge assistance that will cater to your every whim round-the-clock.

No Price Announced Yet For Vertu Constellation

Vertu did not announce a price for the Constellation, but knowing the reputation of the brand and its pricing history, you should expect nothing less than four figures for its price. If you have the money to burn, you can go for broke with the Vertu Constellation. Given the phone's specs, there are plenty of high-end phones that offer so much more with a lesser price tag. But then again, you don't buy a Vertu phone for its specs - you buy it to get noticed.
