The Huawei P10 release date is just around the corner, as the company has just unveiled a new teaser video confirming a Feb. 26 debut.

Rumors and leaks regarding the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus have been intensifying recently and most already anticipated a formal unveiling at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, but it's good to have official confirmation.

Huawei has already sent invitations to a press event on Feb. 26, just one day before the MWC officially kicks into gear, and we now know for sure that the much-rumored Huawei P10 will be the star of the event.

Huawei P10 MWC Debut: What To Expect

The Huawei P10 will come as the successor to the popular Huawei P9 and it's expected to rock significant upgrades, ready to compete at the high end of the smartphone market.

Huawei's teaser confirms the P10's unveiling date and location and touts that it will "change how the world sees you." This could indicate that Huawei has a sleek design in mind for the Huawei P10 and a separate teaser hints at several color options for the smartphone.

If Huawei's teasers are any indication, the Huawei P10 will come in color options that are not frequently seen for smartphones, such as green or purple alongside the classic black, white and gold.

Huawei P10 And P10 Plus Rumored Specs

Rumors so far indicate that both the Huawei P10 and the more premium P10 Plus will sport a 5.5-inch QHD display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and both will pack the company's Kirin 960 octa-core processor - the first one to use the Mali-G71 MP8 graphics processing unit. The Huawei P10 is expected to feature a flat display, while the Huawei P10 Plus would boast a curved screen, possibly similar to that of the Galaxy S7 edge.

The Huawei P10 Plus also surfaced in a retail listing in Spain, which revealed core specifications and a whopping 8 GB of RAM was among them. The amount of RAM could be another major difference between the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. On the other hand, while it's possible that the Kirin 960 could support 8 GB of RAM, the retail listing could be just a placeholder so it's advised to take that information with a grain of salt until official confirmation.

Both the Huawei P10 and the Huawei P10 Plus are also expected to feature a dual rear camera setup with 12-megapixel shooters and Leica optics, albeit the Spanish retail listing for the P10 Plus made no mention of dual cameras.

It's also possible that the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will launch in several configurations with different storage and RAM options to suit various budgets and preferences.

For now, however, all that's certain is that the Huawei P10 will make its formal debut on Feb. 26. As such, all rumored specs are just speculation at this point, so it's highly recommended to take all leaks with a grain of salt. With the unveiling less than two weeks away, we'll soon get the real scoop straight from the source.
