Mass Effect: Andromeda is a good game with a lot of issues. And BioWare is aware of it.

So the Canada-based developer took the gamer's feedback to heart. This April 6, Patch 1.05 will roll out to fix Mass Effect: Andromeda's biggest letdowns. The tweaks will be minor, but the developers promised to address major issues like awkward facial animations and the poor quality of cinematic sequences in the coming months.

The Journey Has Just Begun

In the game's official website, BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn outlined the upcoming changes to the game when the patch rolls out on April 6. He said that the changes are just the beginning.

"Since launch, our team has been poring over your comments and feedback, looking to discover what you like about the game, as well as areas we can evolve or improve," wrote Flynn.

The focus of the patch will be on bug fixes and player experience improvements. The major ones are:

Improved lip-sync and facial acting (including localized VO). The game drew a lot flak for its unnatural facial animations, especially in speaking scenes. This patch hopes to address that; however, BioWare did not specify which language the sync will focus on.

Improved eye appearance for humans and Asari. Speaking of animation, the eerie look of some human and Asari characters has made the game a stuff of memes. BioWare did not provide a sample photo to show the changes, however.

Increased inventory limit. Andromeda was criticized for its limited inventory space, which in turn limited the gaming experience, especially for those who collect items and weapons. The current maximum limit with upgrades is 80.

Option to skip travel sequence in galaxy map. Another major pet peeve of gamers about Andromeda is the recurring autopilot scene between planets. While nicely animated, it can be tiring when done for the hundredth time.

Fixed Ryder's glitch when running in a zigzag pattern. This glitch became an instant meme, much to the amusement and disappointment of fans. Good thing BioWare has listened.
