"Genshin Impact" 1.3 is just right around the corner. The latest update will surely excite the game's fans since it'll bring the latest Lantern Rite Event, a new hero, new bosses, and more!

According to PC Gamers' latest report, the game's update will bring new heroes, new weapons, and exciting new seasonal events. What's great about the latest update is that fans will no longer need to wait to experience the additional treats.

Mihoyo, the game's developer, announced that the team is currently planning to release upcoming new updates every six weeks. This means that "Genshin Impact" 1.3 will have two banners that would last for twenty days each.

On the other hand, Forbes reported that there will be a new champ in the game named Xiao. However, fans already expected the new male character to be released in the latest update, which is expected to happen on Feb. 3.

'Genshin Impact' new champ!

Xiao is a Guardian yaksha. He appears to be a young man who wields a Polearm and uses the Anemo element. This means that those who want to use him immediately must visit the game's elemental reactions. To give you more idea, here are the champ's skills and abilities.

Normal Attack (Whirlwind Thrust)

(Normal Attack)

  • Perform up to six rapid strikes

(Plunging Attack)

  • Xiao plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE Damage upon impact.

(Charged Attack)

  • Consumes a certain amount of stamina to perform an upward thrust

Xiao's Elemental Burst (Bane of All Evil)

  • Xiao will transform into the Guardian yaksha that terrified both archons and demons. During this form, the new champ will have an increased attack range and deal bonus damage. Xiao will also have an enhanced jumping ability.

Xiao's Elemental Skill (Lemniscatic Wind Cycling)

  • The new champ will dash forward and deal Anemo damage to the enemies in front of him. Players can use this skill in mid-air, starting with two charges.

Lantern Rite Event

Aside from Xiao, the game will also have a new Lantern Rite Event that will be released to coincide with the 2021 Lunar New Year. During this event, the players are required to complete the requests of Liyue citizens. This will enable them to raise the Festive Fever Level and unlock the rewards. Players can also participate in a tower defense strategy game called the "Theater Mechanicus."
