Ever wonder where you can edit audio and separate its voice and instrumental music from each other, to extract the very essence of the required audio file? LALAL.AI is the perfect tool for this type of project, providing an all-in-one stop for all audio tool extracting procedures. And do you know the best part? It is now a free service.

While audio extraction sounds technical and complicated, the most popular is the professional paid applications that require a complicated way to split the files and essentially receive the best quality there is. However, there is a way to receive this kind of performance and service without being an expert  in working on an application to receive the best audio.

Moreover, these are made for the experts with a specific jargon or language to edit the audio and create the feature's expected output. These applications are technical, up to the point that it uses a specific interface that is confusing to the initial users, but those who have no technical experience can perform these functions as well.

The online artificial intelligence (AI) tool called LALAL.AI is the one for the job. It can save the day, especially when you are on the verge of finishing a video presentation for school or a home video project that would require background music of choice. Sometimes, royalty-free audio for background music would not suffice to complete a specific project, and there is a need to use specific audio.

Apart from the original neural network Rocknet, LALAL.AI recently implemented Cassiopeia, which is a new architecture with more advanced capabilities. This AI solution is designed to enhance the stem splitting process with a more natural and precise sound. In a test, this new network outperformed other splitting solutions and is even better than Rocknet. Both Rocknet and Cassiopeia are available for trial with up to three tracks for free.

Moreover, the user would have the power and control over what kind of music would be featured in the editing purpose of requiring the application. LALAL.AI has over other applications because the service would completely be accessible to everyone, as it has transitioned to a fully online tool, where users have to upload the necessary files on an internet browser.

The best thing about online tools is that they would not take much space on one's computer or laptop. It improves processes and speeds along with focusing the RAM and CPU's performance on video editing or other projects alongside the audio extraction. Another reason, the online tool would have no muss or fuss about its file system that almost clutters the PC, leaving it slow and messy.

Voice Extraction

Do you want to have an acapella version of a performance by your son/daughter, niece/nephew, or friend as you filmed them singing in a competition? It sounds sweet and amazing, and with LALAL.AI, it could potentially help in isolating the voices in the audio file or video file to get the raw file that you essentially want.

This could also work for other audio files with background noises or unnecessary sounds in the original audio file. For example, a transcription was forwarded, but the room vacuum noise overpowers the voice, the LALAL.AI may be used to clear up, what's needed cleaning.

Instrumental Extraction

On the other side of the coin, sometimes, a sweet guitar, or drum, or other instrument sounds are what you fancy to listen to or include in a presentation, the LALAL.AI is the tool to help in getting that Instrumental away from the voices. Users would only need to upload the audio, and the rest would be up to the AI tool to determine, clean up, and separate the two elements, despite being built-in as recorded with each other.

Same Format Export on All Edits

What is most notable on LALAL.AI's online tool is that it exports the same format with the uploaded audio clip, which needs an extraction or cleaning from the website. Why is this important? Because several audio or video editor codecs do not recognize other file types, it would cause the exported application to malfunction or not be playable or usable in the editing process.

This defeats the purpose of editing with the tool, especially when the specific upload is also the one users aim to use or is compatible with the editing software. It is better to be safe and sure for an audio format than losing time and effort once the editing process finishes.

LALAL.AI Competitor Review

Using different software for this, I have found that Spleeter from Deezer is an almost similar application to LALAL.AI, which also locates voice and instruments and helps extract both and export what is needed by the user. While both apps have the same function and both use AI, Spleeter concedes from LALAL.AI because of its export format which is a mandatory change.

LALAL.AI boasts of its same format export, as the source material to avoid losing compatibility and user preference after the entire process of changing the main outputs of the song. Spleeter would be exporting a file type with 44.1 kHz, 16-bit WAV format files, and is a factor that would always happen upon finishing up with the project.

LALAL.AI Cons

LALAL.AI has recently transitioned to a free service, and that is a great thing. However, this lost users the ability for multiple downloads as the online tool only allows a maximum of three songs to edit at a time for a specific browser. Moreover, a lot of people prefer an application that requires installation for offline uses.
