Are you running a business yet finding it weary to replace cartridges constantly? A thermal label printer should help you out. Equipped with modern technologies, you can simply connect it via Bluetooth. Then, you can print labels wherever you go for faster work operations.

But when it comes to Bluetooth shipping label printers, one brand stands out and that is Jadens. This time, introducing their 'little pinky' to the public. Learn all the features, pros, and cons I encountered when giving 468BT a try.

How Do Thermal Printers Work?

Before we get started, let me fill you in about how a label printer for shipping packages works. As the term implies, it uses heat to print on thermal paper. Once a thermal paper passes through the print head, the printer will heat up certain parts of the said paper to produce labels, consequently blacking those parts in the process.

Perhaps it may be a minor setback that the only color available is black. Still, compared to inkjet printers, you can check out below the rest of the advantages you can get.

What Is the Difference Between Inkjet and Thermal Printers?

Let's compare if you're still in doubt about thermal shipping label printers and their capabilities. Judging by the term, inkjet uses liquid droplets from cartridges to print on coupon bond papers. On the other hand, thermal printer labels use dry pigments driven by heat on heat-sensitive papers.

Generally, inkjet is used for both professional and personal purposes since it can print in colors. Meanwhile, digital merchants use thermal label printers for packaging purposes.

As opposed to inkjets, thermal shipping label printers are lightweight. You can carry it around with ease. Plus, there is no need to worry about messy liquid inks, too. If you're mobile, you would never need to find an outlet to power it up since it's battery-operated and rechargeable.

What Can You Use a Thermal Label Printer for?

As mentioned, thermal printers are beneficial in printing labels the easiest way. Some are more advanced. You can also refer to them as Bluetooth label printers. Just pull your phone out of your pocket and print labels right away. Patch the label onto a package, and it's off to go for delivery.

However, there are a series of thermal label printers out there. You can hardly find one that lives up to its expectations. Thankfully, there's Jadens and their new model 468BT, also known as the Little Pinky.

The Little Pinky Thermal Shipping Label Printer

As a lady, my go-to color has always been pink. In my experience, printers are often only available in two colors, black or white. So it was refreshing to see Jadens 468BT's pink label printer.

First, I'd like to move past the pink color for now. Based on the physical look, Jadens upgraded its thermal printer head. Compared to other products, this is especially favorable for beginners since it can automatically study the label size. I also noticed that it ditched earlier designs made by Jadens by shifting into a box-shaped one. It may be a pink label maker, but the physicality also makes it suitable for all genders.

To get started, I simply downloaded the app 'Jadens Printer' on my phone and connected it with the thermal shipping label printer. The overall setup only took me a few seconds with no hassle, whatsoever. So far, I have been able to print labels smoothly. What really caught me off guard was not the high-speed printing of labels, but the quality of the print itself.

Some of the most notable features of 468BT that I can attest to are the following:

Features

Bluetooth APP Control:

As I said, Bluetooth is the real deal. Pesky wires won't be getting in your way throughout the process. You can download ‘Jadens Printer' on Android and iPhone devices, and even iPad. You don't need to download the app for PC (Windows 10, 11, and up). You can simply connect the PC Bluetooth to print. But when it comes to Mac devices, you can only print through a USB cable already included in the package.

When I used the new app, what surprises me is that the new app has a lot of new functions. And I can print many labels at one time, and I can choose which page to print. That's awesome. But keep in mind that you must first wait for the printer to prepare itself before you can begin printing. Turn on the printer and wait around 7 seconds until you hear two beeping noises. Then, pair the Bluetooth and print.

Works With Any Direct Thermal Label:

I used Little Pinky to print shipping labels for reference. The operation went smooth, and the print was undoubtedly high-definition. Alongside that, it can also print warehouse labels, barcode and ID labels, bulk mailing labels, address labels, and all-purpose labels.  Basically, it can produce any sort of label you want to print as long as it measures from 3cm (1.18") to 10.4cm (4.1").

Supports All Major Shipping Platforms:

High-speed & High- definition Printing:

When I say it's one of the quickest thermal label printers to operate, I'm beyond serious. It can print 72 labels of 4x6 size per minute. It can support up to 6IPS high-speed printing. High-speed goes hand in hand with high definition as it prints up to 203 dpi; all without requiring toner or ink.

Easy for Beginner & 5-star Tech Service:

I'm no expert nor a beginner, but I did find it easy to set up. In case you need an extra hand to figure things out, you'll be glad to know that it comes with a U disk, which includes a driver software and step by step how-to videos. Jadens also offers 5-star U.S.-based customer service via phone, email, and their official website.

I can say that using the thermal label printer firsthand is equivalent to trying out a new recipe. You discover new facets you didn't think existed previously. To trim down what these features can give, here's a list of advantages I made:

Pros

  • Bluetooth printing that works with Smartphones,  iPad, and Windows devices
  • High-speed & high-definition printing regardless of label type
  • No need for an ink/toner, thanks to thermal print technology
  • Offers solid performance for the money
  • Automatically identifies label and is compatible with any Thermal Direct Label

Final Verdict

Overall, this pink thermal label printer was on point both in and out. Few thermal shipping label printers only touched up their physicality to impress the eye. But Jadens 468BT is another story. For only $149.99, you get a high-speed and high-definition printer at your disposal. If you're an online seller, this might be the missing piece to achieve your goals, not to mention the missing piece to perfectly suit your taste in color.

Pink makes everything look pretty, and Jadens made it worthy. So don't let it slip out of your fingers and enjoy a 5% off using the code 92N4JO67, starting from June 6 to June 12, 2022.
