They use their looks to get more views from their followers, especially those who have crushed on them. But, there are some influencers who prefer hiding their actual physical looks using virtual avatars. 

Although this goes the other way from traditional online content creation, many people are curious about these VTubers. 

Because of this, they tend to follow them on their daily vlogs, giving them more views as well.

According to How-To-Geek's latest report, VTuber is a type of online influencer that uses a virtual avatar to represent itself.

Most VTubers are from Japan since this is the trend that started (around 2010). Because of this, most virtual YouTubers are using virtual characters that look like animes. 

This means that their avatars commonly have large sparkly eyes, pointed noses, and small faces. The term "virtual YouTuber" was coined by Kizuna AI, another popular VTuber in Japan. 

Her term started to become popular in late 2016. When it comes to content, VTubers are usually focused on gaming. 

Their format is commonly this; their virtual avatar is located in the lower-left or lower right corner of the screen, with their actual gameplay content in the background.

How To Become a VTuber? 

MakeUseOf said that becoming a VTuber is not that hard. If you are a digital artist that can already create virtual animations, then that's good. 

But, if you are not, then there are some free software services that you can use to create your own virtual avatar. One of these is the VRoid Studio. 

This online tool allows you to create CG art that has base models. What makes the VRoid Studio quite astounding is its motion-capture feature, which tracks your movements and facial expressions.
