"Call of Duty" is looking at a new crossover that will massively change the game, and it is with the arrival of the "Terminator" to the game. Yes, it is the same Terminator that arrived in 2029 sent by Skynet, the massive AI company that wants to prevent the birth of John Connor. This future resistance leader aims to eradicate synthetic robots.

"Call of Duty" released an image of gold and silver blocks that asked the public what the hidden message behind it is, and it has many references that point out many possible answers. Fans were confused, while some could identify what it was all about, with Activision Blizzard confirming it hours later for everyone.

The game said that "they'll be back" and posted the image's full context, showing "Skynet" on the gold blocks that stack themselves onto each other. It only points to one pop culture reference, and it is with "The Terminator" film franchise that was first seen by the public in 1984.

No other information was shared by "Call of Duty" regarding this crossover, only that The Terminator is coming to the shooter game.

'I'll Be Back,' and This Time it is in a Shooter Game

Arnold Schwarzenegger's famous line "I'll be back" and return to the present Earth is what "Call of Duty" focused on in this teaser, and it is indeed bringing the famous killer robot to the game. It is unknown what will join the robot on its arrival in the coming weeks, especially with its iconic weapons that also focus on grenade launchers and shotguns used in the film.

"Call of Duty" brought many crossovers in the past, and it is about many pop culture references and entities, focusing on engaging more audiences and getting a different experience in the game. A previous crossover went to "Officeland," and it brought Dunder Mifflin from Scranton, Pennsylvania, from the hit mockumentary show, "The Office."

Another famous crossover got fans shouting "Shinzo wo Sasageyou" or "Give your heart," and it is a significant line in the massive manga anime series "Attack on Titan" that also came to "Call of Duty." The crossovers from the Activision game bring different entities for gamers to enjoy. It offers a lot for gamers, even though it is not directly related to the action game.

Now, it is bringing back a robot from the future, sent to the past to eliminate its enemies. Instead of focusing on a single target, Sarah Connor, it is fighting the soldiers present on the battlefield.

"Activision Blizzard" did not yet reveal what The Terminator will look like in the game. Still, it brought a picture teaser of the upcoming crossover that confirms the arrival of the killer robot. It is unknown what will arrive in the current game if it includes John or Sarah Connor, or only Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 that first appeared in the 1984 movie.
