But it doesn't stop there as the moon will appear bright and full on Tuesday and Thursday night July 12-14 as well. The moon will look even bigger and brighter than normal on these dates.

The Buck Moon is a supermoon, which means that the full moon will occur when it's at its closest point to the Earth.

How to See the Buck Moon

The Buck Moon will be seen all night long, as long as the weather is good. You can easily see it with the naked eye or you can take a pair of binoculars or a small telescope that will let you explore its craters.

It will also be a good idea to download an app, like Sky Tonight, to know the exact time and properties of the Full Moon for your location. You can also take a stunning photo of the supermoon. There are apps as well that will let you set up the composition by showing you how the lunar disk will look in a chosen location.

When photographing this month's full moon, it is suggested to use a tripod. The bucket list of things to do with your bucket list is to take a picture of this supermoon.

If you are taking a picture with a smartphone, make sure the exposure time is between 10 and 30 seconds, so you will capture the moon as sharp as possible. If you use a DSLR camera, you can use 20 to 30 seconds as well. If you are using a smartphone, make sure you set the camera to night mode.

You can also bring a flashlight to illuminate the foreground of your picture. As long as you have the moon in one part of the picture, everything else will be illuminated by it. This will make your picture more authentic, even more impressive.

What Does the Buck Moon Mean

The Buck Moon got its name from the antlers of a male deer, which are in full growth mode during this time of year, according to Old Farmer's Almanac. Deer lose their antlers every winter and that regrow them in the summer, getting bigger with every passing year. The Buck Moon is also the first full moon of summer.

In the astrological world, the Buck Moon calls for change in our lives and listening to our hearts more than ever, according to PopSugar. The Buck Moon is about knowing when it's time to slow down and enjoy the moment. It is a reminder to remember the important things in life and just let the mind, body, and soul rest.

Every month's full moon has a history and influence over your life. And astrologers urge people to listen to it. It is also said that this month's full moon is a bit more persuasive as this is the biggest and brightest full moon of the year.

Supermoons 2022

The last two super moons this year were June's Strawberry Moon and May's Flower Moon. Next month, there will be the Sturgeon Moon that will peak on August 11, which will be the final supermoon of the year.
