Neuralink's Winter Internship 2022 is now looking for software engineers to help the company work on its innovations.

A prototype mobile unit that could potentially be used to diagnosis traumatic brain injuries in the field, created by Brainscope, is seen at a press conference announcing Brainscope as one of the 16 winners of the first round of the $20M Head Health Challenge.
For those unfamiliar with this tech firm, Neuralink is a company that specifically works on brain interfaces.
This means that it aims to develop and manufacture devices that can help patients suffering from paralysis.
Co-founded by Elon Musk back in 2016, Neuralink is a fast-paced company working on neural interfaces that expand humans' abilities in various worldly situations.

According to StartupJobs' official website, Neuralink is now looking for software engineers working with different teams in the company.

A mannequin is fitted with a prototype of a "mental typewriter", which is an EEG (Electro Encephalogramme Measurement) Cap that processes electric impulses from the brain into commands for a computer at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Architecture and Software Technology.

These groups include BCI (Brain Computer Interface), Core Software, Robot, and Implant teams.
"You will have the opportunity to partner with our electrical, microfabrication, chip designers, neuro, and mechanical engineers," said Neuralink via its official job posting.
Applicants who will be able to enter the Neuralink Winter Internship 2022 are expected to enhance the tech firm's pathway to human-read brain-computer interfaces.
As of writing, it is unclear if the upcoming Neuralink internship program will lead to massive breakthroughs. If you are interested in applying, here are the requirements and other details you need to know.
How To Apply and Other Details
Applicants must work in the Neuralink offices in Austin, Texas, and Fremont, California.
If you are a software engineer living in these areas, then you can apply as a Neuralink applicant. But, you still need to have the following requirements:
- Has experience in the application of technical skills outside of the classroom for more than nine months.
- Has software engineering experience for more than three years.
Aside from these, below are additional qualifications Neuralink prefers you to have:
- Familiarity with container management and orchestration
- Familiarity with web application frameworks like Ruby on
- Familiarity with Ruby, Python, and/or Javascript
- Familiarity with C/C++/Rust
- Rails or Django
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS
- Experience with infrastructure development
