It turns out that the surprise update for these Apple devices comes with two critically urgent security fixes, as per the latest news story by Forbes.

To be more precise, the latest release patches two zero-day vulnerabilities, which exposes millions of Apple users to cyber attackers.

Apple macOS Monterey Security Update

According to a recent report by Mac Rumors, the renowned tech giant rolled out a new minor update for the macOS Monterey, its version 12.51.

The news outlet reports that the release notes of Apple disclose that the new macOS Monterey update essentially improves the overall security of Macs.

The latest patch specifically fixes vulnerabilities in kernel and Webkit, which could potentially end up in arbitrary code execution.

The iPhone maker admits that these security flaws are actively being exploited in the wild. Furthermore, the tech firm recommends all its Mac users install the new version.

Apple tells its Mac users that "this update is recommended for all users and improves the security of macOS."
