British actor Graham McTavish poses on the red carpet upon arrival to attend the HBO original drama series "House of the Dragon" premiere at Leicester Square Gardens, in London, on August 15, 2022.

The fires in Westeros have only begun blazing as episode 1 of HBO's House of the Dragon, a prequel to one of the most popular shows on Earth, "Game of Thrones," has proven to be a massive record-breaking hit.

According to Warner Bros. Discovery, the unrivaled "Game of Thrones" has been surpassed by the House of Dragon as the biggest series launch in the network's history.

"It was wonderful to see millions of Game of Thrones fans return," Casey Bloys, chief content officer for HBO and HBO Max, said in a statement with CNBC

It should be noted that on Aug. 21, the new series debuted simultaneously on HBO and its streaming service, HBO Max.

Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed that the House of the Dragon amassed a total of 9.986 million views during the premiere of its first episode.

How and Where to Watch House of the Dragon Episode 2?

You only need an HBO Max membership if you're in the US to watch the new episode. House of the Dragon is available in the UK on Sky Atlantic, and HBO programming may be accessed through a NOW subscription.

The second episode will be live for streaming on HBO Max at 9:00 p.m. on Aug. 28. Sky Atlantic will be airing the new episode on Sky Atlantic at 2:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Aug. 29.

The upcoming episode of House of the Dragon must be streamed via a VPN if you are visiting a nation that does not support Sky or HBO, as noted by Mashable.

Your chosen streaming site will still provide access to House of the Dragon because these streaming-friendly services conceal your true IP address and connect you to a server in the United Kingdom or the United States.

Several streaming websites are also simple and quick to access with the help of services like ExpressVPN.

What to Expect For Episode 2? (SPOILER-FREE)

The second episode of House of the Dragon should begin with young Rhaenyra Targaryen (Milly Alcock) having been selected by her father, King Viserys (Paddy Considine), as the heir to the Iron Throne.

She is undoubtedly shattering the adage "glass ceiling" because she has been appointed to a position that no woman has ever held in the history of Westeros.

Prince Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), also known as the Rogue Prince, is her main rival at this point since his aspirations for the Iron Throne have been crystal clear since the beginning.

Even though he is Viserys' brother, that was insufficient. He was passed over, so we predict something exciting will steamroll from the Rogue Prince.

Keep a political eye out for Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), the Hand of the King, as well after he sent his daughter Alicent (Olivia Cooke) to the king's chamber. Otto is likely to go to any lengths to maintain his position of authority.

But for now, we will wait for episode 2 to witness everything unfold into pieces. In the meantime, HOTD has been renewed for Season 2 so let's have a toast for the GOT fans!
