CD Projekt Red is looking at expanding its gaming development in the future, and the company has already teased the upcoming titles that will soon bring multiple games to one of its world-famous franchises. After the recent earnings call of the Polish video game company, information on "The Witcher" franchise rumored forthcoming sequels, including "The Witcher 5" and "The Witcher 6."

CD Projekt Red Teases 'The Witcher 5," Other Games in the Franchise

CD Projekt Red's latest earnings call wraps up the first half of the year, and here, the company aims to expand more on its games development for the future of the franchises under its wing. Adam Kiciński, CD Projekt Red CEO, claimed that there are new games for "The Witcher" franchise, with multiple releases coming in the future.

The CEO did not clarify when these games would come, and he also did not give any specifics on the games that are now under development by the company. Still, he pertains to future games for "The Witcher" franchise which now aims to feature another protagonist, all while including the first trilogy's central figure, Geralt of Rivia, in the games. 

Titles like "The Witcher 5" and "The Witcher 6" are the games coming soon, centering on the next "The Witcher" saga after its focus on Geralt's trilogy.

How About 'The Witcher 4'-When's the Release Date?

CDPR's earnings call saw a significant dive from its previous results, and some speculations point to "Cyberpunk 2077's" release from the company, putting them on fragile grounds. The many talks regarding the future of "The Witcher" saga games also brought up the development of "The Witcher 4," the known next title from CDPR.

For now, it remains unknown to the developers, especially for its release date, which may be for next year or further. 

'The Witcher' Franchise from CD Projekt Red

The latest development for the sequel title of the famous "The Witcher" games developed by CD Projekt Red is for the fourth installation of the games, focusing on its console and PC availability. CD Projekt Red previously confirmed that it is working on "The Witcher 4" game, particularly as it transferred its development to Unreal Engine 5 from its previous platform. 

The franchise became a significant hit in the gaming industry, and the fantasy novel from Andrzej Sapkowski also saw its series adaptation by Netflix, being one of the most awaited titles from the streaming platform. It follows Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill, along with other notable names from the novel and games, including Princess Cirilla, Yennefer, and more. 

Nevertheless, CD Projekt Red's adaptation of the novel into the games gave it massive fame in the pop culture of the world, now a renowned franchise.

CD Projekt Red is recuperating after a massive letdown from "Cyberpunk 2077," which is also looking at an expansion for its title now. Nevertheless, CD Projekt Red's latest focus is giving "The Witcher" its rightful game development that will expand more on the novel's story, now putting the spotlight on other Witchers.
