Routers are widely available to bring internet connection via terrestrial networks available from many companies via subscription, but it leaves the public open for access with their unencrypted data available online. However, that will soon change with the first VPN router coming from ExpressVPN which aims to protect the home and not just a single device.

ExpressVPN's latest press release details a new experience available for many, and it is the launch of its "Aircove" VPN router which presents a WiFi 6 connection at home. The new Aircove device aims to deliver an onboard virtual private network that is already available for use, not needing any apps to turn it on or off for every access.

The device also delivers a VPN experience for multiple devices, including Smart TVs and speakers, as connecting to the WiFi 6 router would have it ready for all.

ExpressVPN cited research from Deloitte and other sources which claim that home connection access presents a privacy risk for all, something which the Aircove would solve.

Instead of protecting only a single device, the router aims to make all the devices at home protected from ExpressVPN's services and technology.

How Much to Protect All Devices?

ExpressVPN's Aircove is available on Amazon at a discounted price of $169 only, already available with its built-in VPN. Its regular price is $200, and it already offers multi-bandwidth connections with 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

Users may control VPN access for different devices connected to the router via its app, allowing people to choose which device would have the VPN access on or off for their needs.

VPN and its Benefits

Connecting to a VPN means that users may hide their online presence from public or shared networks in their daily access and connection to WiFi or other forms of internet. Many recommend its use as it hides one's network from many online sleuths or threat actors who prey on unprotected devices to steal data or information, among many things.

It is known that people leave footprints or crumbs on all the websites they access, and it presents a significant security issue in the present, especially as the internet is already a requirement in the present world.

There is a current dispute between Apple's iOS and the virtual private network industry as there were claims before that VPNs do not function on the operating system despite turning it on for use. According to present reports, the flaw did not yet see a fix by the company despite the claims from security researchers from two years ago.

The new VPN router aims to make the source connection encrypted and protected for users to enjoy across many devices connected to it in one's home. Most offers from companies offer VPN protection for multiple devices where the app or experience is available.

ExpressVPN wants to change that as even smart TVs may receive VPN via this router, connecting to an already secure WiFi connection for all.
