Intel's Mobileye is a renowned system for self-driving technology that presented its take on a safe autonomous feature for different types of vehicles. Now, according to Bloomberg, Mobileye is looking to deliver on its first IPO after several years in the market, already growing its technology and valuation through the years.

Mobileye is previously a startup from Israel, but in 2017, Intel acquired the company for $13.5 billion and infused its technology with the autonomous feature, now aiming to break ground in the car industry.

The report claims that Mobileye's IPO is expected to be around $50 billion by Intel, but it significantly reduced the figure to $30 billion for its expectations. Despite the news of going public, Mobileye or Intel has not yet revealed its stock value.

Mobileye: What's Their Tech?

According to The Verge, the company was formed in 1999 to deliver a different technology that aims to deliver driver-assisted technology for the years to come. Its EyeQ system-on-a-chip (SoC) serves as its bread and butter to this autonomous driving technology, now seeing further upgrades that users will soon experience once available to the public.

Autonomous Driving Tech

It may not be known to the world but autonomous driving technology is under development by certain companies which also bring it for regular cars with combustion engines and not only electric vehicles. Some of the companies behind that include Google's Waymo who also made it available for trucks and hybrids in the market now.

It is not only Tesla and other clean energy cars which deliver on autonomous driving technology in the present vehicle industry.

Microsoft has a unique take on an autonomous driving system called "Wayve," which brings machine learning data available to many, especially for people that need it for their vehicles.

Another good example here is General Motors' Cruise system which is also testing the features for driverless taxis that will replace drivers in bringing passengers from point A to B.

The world is surrounded by autonomous driving tech and many are aiming to deliver more offers to the world, particularly with Mobileye which will utilize Intel's technology in the process. Cars are getting more advanced and systems aim to take control of wheels for a safer driving experience, coming to its initial public offering for all.
