GMC has officially unveiled their all-electric pickup-the Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, as reported by Electrek. Reservations are now open for the truck, and it is the third electric truck model in the GMC family.

The Sierra EV joins the Hummer EV pickup and SUV, which is a huge achievement for the General Motors sub-brand that is positioning itself to be a pioneer.
The GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1
Quality built, the EV truck is a one-of-one version, but its impressive exterior screams high quality that is built for performance. It leverages GM's Ultium pickup platform. In addition, it will be offered exclusively in a crew cab model with an integrated 5'11" cargo bed. Its MultiPro Midgate has nine feet of storage between the cab and the tailgate when open. On the other hand, when the MidGate is completely down, the storage length will expand further to 10' 10" and will keep the cargo in place via MultiPro Tailgate's load-stop feature.
There is a 60/40-split second row that offers four different configurations that can haul gear while still accommodating a passenger. Finally, a tonneau cover is available to keep stowed cargo under a lockable, weatherproof cover.
Despite the lack of details about its battery, it is said that it will have its largest pack of 24 modules that can deliver an estimated 400 miles of range. The battery pack placement will also help lower the truck's center of gravity, which will add better stability. In turn, this will make drivers even more confident while driving the truck.
The platform powers rear and front motors that combine for e4WD, which can deliver 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque in Max Power Mode, as GM estimates. Max Power Mode is one of several models drivers can choose from to tackle various terrain settings.
It has four-wheel steering that enables "Crab Walk" for a smaller turning radius and improved maneuverability in tight spots.

Charging Capabilities
With the Ultium EV platform, the GMC Sierra Denali EV should have 800V DC public charging up to 350 kW, that will allow for 100 miles of range in ten minutes. It also has a 19.2 kW onboard AC charging module.
It will also double as a mobile power source with its Power Station Pro onboard that offers up to 10.2 kW in off-board power. Drivers can access the energy storage via ten outlets throughout the truck, such as the 120V outlet in the eTruck.
Its bi-directional capabilities can charge other EVs and work as a backup power source for homes. The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 can power a home's essential necessities for up to 21 days collectively.
