According to the story by Giz China, the recent One UI 5.0 update was recently revealed by Samsung for the Galaxy S22 series flagships with Android 13. After this announcement, the company revealed which phones would get the update.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE did not Participate in the Previous Android 13 Beta-Testing Program
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was recently released sometime early this year and is still capable of new major Android upgrades. Users of the smartphone were not able to participate in the Android 13 beta-testing program.
Despite not being able to participate in the beta-testing, Samsung has still been working hard for the update to come to the Galaxy S21 FE, which launched just shortly before the Galaxy S22 series.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Still Comes with Some Advantages Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE
The article by Giz China notes that some might have thought of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE as a pointless release, although it still had some performance advantages compared to the previous Galaxy S20 FE.

The Smartphone is Still Considered a 2022 Flagship and Could Get the Update Either Next Month or Next Year with Other Smartphones
The update will apparently reach the device sometime in the following month. However, this should still be taken with a grain of salt, as Samsung has not yet released an official statement regarding its release.
Giz China states that since the smartphone is still a "2022" flagship, they still expect the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE to get the update along with the other flagships. Many flagships will be getting the update come January of 2023.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is Still On Track to Receive Three More Updates After the One UI 5.0 and Android 13
