The Difference Between Listening to Spotify and Vinyl Records in This Day and Age

Music comes in all shapes and forms especially in this digital age but some might argue that there is still something magical about playing a vinyl record. However, in today's time, vinyl records are commonly used as design and very rarely being used when playing music.

Unlike streaming services like Spotify where users only have to type, search, and play, vinyl records need to be carefully taken out of their covers, placed on a player, and played. The thing about vinyl records is that they are only limited to a few tracks per record.

Audio-Technica Reissued Its Iconic 1980s Portable Record Player Called the Sound Burger Audio-Technica AT-SB2022

This could pose a problem for listeners that love shifting from artist to artist since this would mean they would mostly have to shift from vinyl to vinyl. However, there is something interesting about going retro and listening to music via a vinyl player.

According to the story by Pocket Lint, Audio-Technica has just reissued its iconic 1980s portable record player called the Sound Burger. Its more technical name is known as the Audio-Technica AT-SB2022 and is a model that has been faithful to its original design.

Modern Sound Burger Works Like Its Original Version Capable of Playing 45 RPM Singles and 33 1/3 LPs

The newer Sound Burger still works in a similar way as its original version. The device is capable of playing 45 RPM singles as well as 33 ⅓ LPs through its belt-driven motor.

This would give listeners a device that sandwiches a record in between its clamshell housing as well as spring-loaded stylus which can be seen on the inside. In order to use the device, all owners have to do is to swing it out and place it onto the vinyl in order to start playing.

Going back to Pocket Lint, they note that the audio can be played through the help of an external speaker by using either a wired connection or Bluetooth. Users will also get an RCA audio cable along with the Sound Burger which will allow them to connect it wirelessly to a Bluetooth enabled speaker or an alternative audio solution.

As for its pricing, the Audio-Technica AT-SB2022 is expected to fetch a price of $199. Its built-in battery can last up to 12 hours after being charged.
