Tech mogul Elon Musk has been the subject of numerous controversial headlines after recently closing the deal to buy Twitter. Users of the social media application have been publicly expressing their concerns over the takeover as their private data is now in the hands of the SpaceX founder. However, netizens are quick to note how a woman from Musk's past suddenly disappeared from Twitter, namely, Amber Heard.
Marca reports that Heard deactivated her Twitter account on Wednesday. As of now, no representatives for the "Aquaman" star have given any comment on the deactivation. Thus, the timing of Musk's takeover and Amber Heard's exit from the application could be a coincidence.
However, netizens have taken to clowning Heard in several tweets. One user suggested that Heard may have deactivated her Twitter account in an attempt to hide her private information from ex-boyfriend Musk.

USA Today reports that while Musk does have access to its user's private data, users getting worried about the tech mogul peeking into users' direct messages would be the least of their problems.
The possibility of a leak in private data, such as payment information, has also been a growing concern as Musk recently teased a feature to buy out the Twitter blue checkmark for $8 a month, according to the Guardian. Despite the online backlash that Musk has received from the idea, the tech mogul is determined to provide a voice to all Twitter users with the paid verification status as an advocate for free speech.
Elon Musk and Amber Heard's Dating History
Tech mogul Elon Musk and actress Amber Heard first met on the set of the action film "Machete Kills", where Heard starred as the lead character while Musk made a cameo appearance.
According to Evening Standard, the pair remained friends after their time on the film until Heard's divorce from veteran actor Johnny Depp. In 2016, Musk started pursuing Heard romantically, with the actress even posting a photo of them together on Instagram, featuring Musk with a kiss mark on his cheek.
However, their relationship reportedly came to an end after one year of dating when split rumors circulated in August 2017. Musk eventually confirmed the speculations in a comment on Heard's Instagram post, clarifying: "Btw, just to clear up some of the press storms this weekend, although Amber and I did break up, we are still friends, remain close and love one another."
