Alef's new flying car will soon be delivered to buyers.

In October, the Tesla-backed startup announced its prototype for the advanced Model A, a new eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) vehicle.

For the past few years, many automakers and other transportation companies have been making efforts to make flying cars possible.

Now, it seems like Alef Aeronautics will be the first one to do this as its drivable flying electric car will soon start its deliveries.

New Alef Flying Car Deliveries to Start by 2025

According to CNET's latest report, Alef Aeronautics said the Model A deliveries could start as early as 2025.

However, the tech firm hasn't provided an exact date for its shipments.

For those interested in having one, the Alef Model A costs $300,000. As of writing, consumers need to pay the $150 pre-order fee.

If you want to receive the eVTOL order earlier, then you can pay for the priority queue pre-order fee, which costs $1,500.

Aside from this, Alef Aeronautics' official website also confirmed that the abovementioned fees are fully refundable.

Is Alef Model A Worth It?

Since it costs $300,000, Alef Aeronautics ensures that interested consumers will get the best out of its new eVTOL.

The tech company said that the Model A could be driven on a regular urban or rural road like other vehicles.

"It fits into a regular driving lane and confines to all traffic regulatory conditions. Alef flying car fits into a regular parking space and inside a regular-sized garage," said the eVTOL maker.

However, its speed is quite slow since the Model is designed to be an LSV (Low-Speed Vehicle).

Alef explained the reason behind its slow speed, saying that the idea of Model A is to use its flying capabilities if people want faster routes.

When it comes to flying capabilities, this eVTOL offers a unique aerial experience. This is because it can move in almost any direction; forward, backward, right, left, up, down, at an angle.

The new Alef Model A will also have two variants; the electric and hydrogen-based models. But, the Tesla-backed startup said that the hydrogen option would be offered at higher prices.

Recently, other eVTOLs were also introduced by various companies.

These include Hyundai's commercial eVTOL and Nascent's eVTOL Airspeeder
