Boston Dynamics gave Spot another task this year, and it is to save Christmas and spread the holiday cheer with the robotic dog showing off its skills in decorating a tree in the company's office. It showed the group of quadruped robots forming a cheerleading team's pyramid to help each other reach the top and add the final decor for its office tree.

A new video on Boston Dynamics' YouTube page invites people to watch how a group of Spot robot dogs band together and complete Christmas for the company office.

It centers on three robot dogs attempting to put up the final piece for its office Christmas tree, a ribbon that goes on top of it to complete its design.

And while Spot is not tall enough to reach the top, Boston Dynamics employed the help of two more robots to give the ribbon holder extra clearance to place the ribbon.

According to the company, Spot was controlled by professional operators familiar with the bot, and advises the public who owns the same machine not to try this at home.

Boston Dynamics and Hyundai's Future of Mobility

Boston Dynamics and Hyundai plan for a future of mobility for their individual ventures that they will share with each other.

The acquired robotics company would be concerned with the machines like Spot, Atlas, Stretch, and more-and on the other hand, Hyundai will focus on its vehicles.

Boston Dynamics' Robotic Developments

The Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) acquired Boston Dynamics in 2021, and since then, the company operated in a different light, turning away from its initial focus. One of the previous ventures of Boston Dynamics is to center on weaponized machines, but the company swore against it to focus more on robots to help humans.

Before this, the company has plans to develop a "RoboCop" inspired machine that will help law enforcement with their job to keep the peace and security in the country.

Notably, one of the earliest feats by the robotics company from Massachusetts for Hyundai is with the Spot bot, to use for its plants and factories. Its main goal is to provide remote monitoring of a certain area for workers to supervise it, despite not being present in the location.

It helps to avoid any workplace injuries or hazards for the supervisor, but still, get the job done.

From crushing parkour courses and dancing to the South Korean group's BTS "Butter V2" hit song, Spot has many skills that it imparts to the world and different clients.

Its latest is showing that it can also accomplish the menial task of redecorating a Christmas tree, and imparting a holiday message to all.
