Two women walk past a Xiaomi store in Beijing on January 15, 2021, as shares in the company collapsed on January 15 after the United States blacklisted the smartphone giant and a host of other Chinese firms.

But apart from the clean look, it also comes with handy features that vow to make taking care of fish a lot easier.

Xiaomi Smart Fish Tank Remote Feeding Feature

As per the latest report by GizmoChina, the MIJIA smart fish tank offers a remote feeding feature right off the bat via the MIJIA mobile app.

With this, users of this fish tank can still monitor their aquamarine creatures even while they are away. To be more precise, pet owners could continue feeding their fish remotely using their mobile devices.

So if you are on a vacation, perhaps some revenge post-COVID travel, you will not end up starving your fish at home. They could still get their food thanks to the smart features of the Xiaomi fish tank.

It is not the first time the Chinese tech behemoth introduced a fish tank. The older fish tank debuted in late 2019, according to a report by BeeBom.

However, the previous offering, aptly named the Xiaomi Fish Tank, skips on the smart features that the new MIJIA Smart Fish Tank brings to the table.

Instead, the previous offering only offered users an option to power it up using a power bank that also charges mobile devices.

MIJIA App Allows Users to Change Lights Remotely

Besides the remote feeding feature, its users could customize the lightning on the fish tank while they are miles away. The changes in light are an integral part of growing plants underwater.

Given that, users could set how long the light stays lit in the tank using their mobile devices. Even while at home, they could sit and relax on a sofa to tweak the lighting. After all, they do all these using the MIJIA app.

Up to Six Months Without Water Changing?

The Smart Fish Tank also sports a self-cleaning feature. Xiaomi touts that it allows users to forgo changing their water for roughly half a year or six months.

The system lets users forget about cutting the weed underwater or removing impurities for a long time. It comes with a 2-blade stainless steel rotary cutter head, along with a brushless motor to do the tedious cleaning job.

It seems that Xiaomi understands the struggle of fish tank users in keeping it clean. And as such, the tech firm made it possible to ditch the frequent changing of water altogether.
