HOUSTON, TEXAS - DECEMBER 14: HOUSTON, TEXAS - DECEMBER 14: The Ram 2500 model is seen on a lot at the Mak Haik dealership on December 14, 2022 in Houston, Texas. Approximately 1.4 million Ram pickup trucks are being recalled after a tailgate malfunction was discovered, raising concerns of cargo potentially spilling onto the road. The recall includes Ram models 1500, 2500, and 3500.

The report comes at a time when a new trademark filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. On January 5, we will be able to see the highly-anticipated electric truck, which will be the representation of the future of Ram Trucks.

A lot of people thought that the new Ram 1500 will go by the name Ram Revolution because the company referred to it. However, it seems like it's only a slogan for their marketing campaign.

Earlier this month, FCA US LLC, formerly Chrysler Group filed a trademark for Ram 1500 REV under "land vehicles, namely, passenger trucks."

A Testament to Its Ram Revolution

REV could serve as a testament to their Ram Revolution as it separates itself from the typical EV or BED model ending. It could also indicate a "range extender" model.

Sure, trademarks aren't a guarantee, but it's easy to see where Ram is headed with this.

It can be recalled that in March this year, Stellantic, Ram's parent company, teased a rendering of an all-electric Ram 1500 that is slated to be released in 2024.

Still, Ram is keeping most of the details about its electric truck under wraps until its release next week. The CEO of the company mentioned that it will have range expectations between 300 and 350 miles, with an estimated EPA range for the Lightning up to 320 and the Rivian R1T at 328.

Its maximum output is said to reach 885 horsepower, which will make it even more powerful than its competitors, such as Chevrolet Silverado EV and Ford F-150 Lightning.

A Unique Appearance

Another thing that will set the Ram electric truck apart is that it will offer a "class-shattering" range-exterior version of the 1500. Hence, this would make its appearance more unique and perfect for those who don't like the range anxiety that comes with an electric vehicle. However, it is still unknown what type of range extender system will be used.

The new electric truck will debut on January 5, 2023 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. CES is the biggest computer and tech gadget show in the world, but automakers have been using the platform for years now to show off new features and vehicles.

CES also confirmed that the CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, will give a keynote speech at the event.
