According to Zippia.com, as of 2022, the global wellness industry is worth $4.4 trillion, with the US accounting for almost 30% of the market. The research also notes that "as it recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, the worldwide wellness economy is expected to see an annual growth rate of 9.9% from 2020 to 2025." Although it is a massive industry, there is also massive competition and, as a result, it takes a lot to stand out amongst all the noise.

Alice Shani Lankri is a unique individual who has experience with many different facets of health and wellness, as well as technology. After earning her degree in management information systems, she spent her first years working on some of Israel's top tech projects. It was during that time that she began to lay the foundation for a career in digital customer experience, where she has been a champion of user communication and validation for over 20 years.

Technology to help people

Alice is a woman with a huge heart. It became clear to her, early in her career, that technology holds immense potential to help people. When she landed a position with PeriGen, on the first tier product support team, she felt inspired. PeriGen is a leader in perinatal decision support software and medical equipment manufacturing. Alice provided a high level of technological assistance for the company's US based clients, and collected user requirements to identify common issues in order to improve the company's services. Her work was truly impactful.

Later, working as the customer support team lead at BillGuard, Alice helped to transform the company's UX. BillGuard, which has since been acquired by Prosper, was an easy-to-use and secure app, designed for both iPhone and Android, that allowed users to stay on top of their financial portfolio, as well as offering identity theft protection. She worked with the company for nearly three years and was the backbone of the entire customer support team as they provided resolutions to an average of 1500 tickets per month. Alice also helped to create a variety of processes for proactive support through the company's email and on their social media channels, and worked to implement modern technologies to create a more personalized customer experience.

Wellness from all angles

Although Alice continued to work for tech companies and apps in the realm of customer experience management, she found herself drawn to explore different aspects of the world of wellness outside of technology. She explains: "I saw that helping people through tech, using only the mind, is a limited perspective and wished to expand to more realms - the physical and emotional ones being the biggest source of inspiration and change that I saw for myself and for the people I've known."

Alice shares that "As it turns out, solving problems with people in the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of their lives [isn't] all that different from the role [that] a good customer support team plays for its clients - using active listening, empathy skills, communication tools, and more."

The perfect union of technology and wellness

Sometimes things come together in just the right way, which was exactly the understanding that Alice had when she was contacted by Lezel. Lezel is an AI-powered personalized wellness platform. Alice's title with the company is Customer Experience Success Manager, and she was absolutely elated to find a role that so perfectly combines her interests and skills in one amazing space.

Lezel recognizes that, as we are each individual beings, we each require a unique and individualized path to healing and wellness. The platform works with a combination of precise formulations, using highly detailed chemical analysis, together with an in-depth data collection process where users report the effects of using various healing formulations in a structured and quantifiable manner, in order to create a database. That database feeds a powerful AI system that enables classification of user types and the effects that these healing tools have on them.

In closing, Alice highlights: "The body of each person is different, and so the way to tailor-made healing and medicine for different people would be by understanding their own unique system. By analyzing different people using AI, we can suggest different doses, types of substances, frequency, best time of use and every other parameter to help people use what they need - when they need it."

Alice and Lezel are a perfect match, as they are empowering people to move forward on their personalized healing and wellness journey thanks to innovative technology and intelligent data analysis. These are exactly the kind of AI businesses that create a vision for our future that is both hopeful and bright.
