A woman, who lives in a rent-free home in the United Kingdom, is refusing to take treatment for her weight problems because she would rather stay on benefits than get a job.

We have to admit that we were left quite shocked at her admission. It only proves that her weight is not the only problem here, but her views in life as well. We understand from the Metro article that the 28-year-old woman, who goes by the name of Jodie Sinclair, believes she is not doing anything wrong.

According to Sinclair, she has no intentions to go under the knife because what she is doing is not wrong. Apparently, she is not eating a lot of food, but that is not stopping her dietitian from ripping into her.

"Doctors keep on shouting at me to lose weight but I don't even eat that much. My cooked breakfasts are my treat," said Sinclair. "My mum would come over every day and we would have sausage, bacon, beans and toast but the dietician had a go at me for that."

To make things even more interesting, Sinclair believes the system should provide for her a free helper since she is unable to keep her home in great condition. Now, we have to wonder if something is wrong with this situation. She is clearly more willing to feast from government handouts than to make a living using her own hands.

Nothing should stop a person from attempting to make a living with his or her own hands unless they are beyond the help of modern science. Sinclair on several occasions has been offered the option to go under the knife for the sake of releasing her from the weight that is holding her down.

However, because of her refusal to make certain life choices, especially when it comes to her health, this woman's situation poses to us a couple of questions: should she not be removed from the benefits system since she has an option for not being on it? Should taxpayers' money go into the pockets of someone like Sinclair? We can all learn a lesson from her circumstances: it's about taking responsibility for our lives.

At the end of the day, we can only hope she does the right thing because her condition is not healthy.
