The Samsung Galaxy S23 family is currently relying on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Gen 2 SoCs. Still, this is not enough to beat Apple's iPhone 14 in every angle.

However, a new leak about the upcoming Galaxy S24 could break the hearts of iOS fans. A popular tipster has revealed that this particular model can potentially beat even the Cupertino firm's iPhone 15 lineup thanks to its more powerful chipset.

According to a popular leaker, Samsung is now preparing to release a Galaxy-specific chipset for the upcoming Galaxy S24.

As Techradar reports, RGclouds, who is well-known on Twitter for many tech leaks, has shared some information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24.

The leaker describes that the leaked handset will be using a more advanced mobile processor in the form of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

RGcloudS says that the development for this chipset is now ongoing and it will have a "bigger jump" compared to its predecessor.

"I think it's almost confirmed that Gen 3 for Galaxy will beat Bionic 17 frequency on paper," the leaker tweeted last March 4.

Because it's projected to surpass the A17 Bionic, the leaker assumes that it's going to be faster than iPhone 15--and even iPhone 15 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro by the time it is launched.

What's With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chipset that Makes it Powerful

RGcloudS writes that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be clocked at 3.7 GHz not to mention the trifecta of efficiency-centered cores and four low-frequency performance cores.

The Gen 2 chipset only features a 3.2 GHz clock speed which means that the in-development SoC will be 15% more powerful than it.

The leaker did not specify if the alleged mobile chipset will be under Qualcomm or if it will be made by Samsung itself. However, he wrote "Gen 3" on his post so it may be only an upgraded chip of the "Gen 2."

Will We Ever See Galaxy-Designed Chips?

Speaking of which, a rumor about Samsung hinted that the South Korean firm was working on its own chips.

According to Tech Times, the Galaxy-dedicated processor might be the sign that we won't see Qualcomm SoCs in the future on Galaxy handsets.

Of course, we should still take this with a grain of salt since Samsung has not yet confirmed it.

In other news, Sam Mobile reports that a new Samsung leak suggests three high-end S9 tablets are set to arrive halfway through this year.

The news outlet says that the new tablet models might be launched under the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra names. All of them will have Wi-Fi+5G features.

Elsewhere, a new leak says that the prices for Samsung Galaxy A54 and A34 will be higher than the price tags of A33 and A53 in 2022, as per the leak, as per GSM Arena.
