The video shows a man standing atop a white Honda CR-V SUV, as also spotted in an article by The Australian, responding to oncoming traffic while attempting to maintain his balance. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

NSW Police Inquiry into Car Surfing Incident in Coffs Harbour

The state government, which held a parliamentary inquiry into car surfing in 2003, quickly responded to the incident. A spokesperson from the NSW Police stated, "officers from Fairfield Highway Patrol are aware of the video and are conducting inquiries into the incident."

Unfortunately, other tragic stories of death and injury due to car surfing have been making headlines nationwide. Most recently, a teenager was injured in a car surfing incident in Coffs Harbour on the NSW Mid North Coast in April 2021.
