Samsung has released a new firmware update for its popular Galaxy Z Fold 4. It is now rolling out to its users in the United States (US).

More than two weeks after Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 users started getting their hands on the March 2023 security update, a new update is available.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 April 2023 Security Patch Rolls Out

As per a recent report by Sam Mobile, the highly popular flagship foldable of Samsung is getting a new update in time for the start of the new month.

Following the release of the new update to Galaxy S23 users, it is now rolling out to Galaxy Z Fold 4 users.

Samsung users typically get new updates from time to time. Essentially, these releases deliver exciting new features, alongside bug fixes and security patches, which refine the overall experience.

This time, the new firmware update primarily focuses on bringing the security of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 a notch higher. It comes with the April 2023 security patch.

The new update has kicked off in the US. So it might not take long before it arrives on your foldable device.

How to Download and Install Updates on Galaxy Z Fold 4

However, updates like this might take a few hours or even a day or two before they come up. Sam Mobile notes in its report that carrier-locked phone users usually have to wait a little longer than the rest.

With that, you may manually install it if you want it as soon as possible. After all, the latest update brings necessary security and bug fixes. So getting it right away sounds like the best move.

Samsung says "if a system update is available, you should install it to keep your phone or tablet running smoothly."

Here's how to manually update your Galaxy Z Fold 4.

• Go to the Settings app.
• Then, tap the "Software update" option.
• After which, if a new update is available, select "Download and install."

The official changelog of the new firmware update gives a glimpse of what the new software release brings to the table.

It offers bug fixes, which helps improve its overall performance. Not to mention that it comes with the April 2023 security patch. The improvements are packed in roughly 400MB.
