The new rumored update will allow users to sort out the apps, which will make it easier to navigate the menu system. In a sampled render, Apple Watch could feature a grid of three applications in a row. However, the leaker remains unsure whether this will be a third option or replace the grid as the default.

Familiarity with the New Update

With these rumored updates, BGR Apple is planning to make the watchOS 10 much easier to use by making it more familiar to iOS, hence why they will include a folder feature.

The update is reportedly reminiscent of folders from older OS, specifically from iOS 4 up to iOS 6. Apple Watches do not have as many applications as iPhones. But despite this, some users may prefer to store specific apps in folders based on their use.

For example, combining workout applications and health monitoring applications may be useful to easily access the apps when you're working out especially since there are also rumors that Apple Watch is expected to bring the Apple Health app to its system in the future.

While Apple Watch is praised for being made for small interactions, Apple most likely wants to give the new software update an opportunity to broaden its use through a person's wrist. This just makes sense now that the company released the new Apple Watch Ultra to take advantage of a larger display.

Worldwide Developers Conference 2023

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reported that Apple is shaping the Worldwide Developers Conference 2023 to be one of its biggest product launch events ever, with its mixed-reality headset as the star of the show.

But aside from the awaited VR headset, the annual conference is expected to release other products too. This includes new MacBooks and several new operating systems for its devices.

Apple is expected to announce the updated versions of iOS 17, iPad OS 17, macOS 14, the new xrOS software development kit, and the major update for watchOS 10.
