The third version of the Android 13 QPR3 Beta is now rolling out to selected Google Pixel smartphones, bringing a wealth of bug fixes that primarily address issues within the OS's connectivity department.

Unavailability of the Update to Android 14 Devices

According to the story by XDA Developers, to ensure everyone can benefit from these fixes, Google has specified that the update is for select Android 13 QPR3 Beta devices only. If the user's device is running a different version of the OS, like the Android 14 Beta, users won't have access to this new update.

The latest Android 13 QPR3 Beta update is rolling out to select Google Pixel devices and brings many bug fixes focusing on connectivity issues. While the update does not introduce new features, it addresses several fixes essential to ensuring a smoother user experience.

Update Availability and Procedures for Pixel 6 Series Devices on Verizon

These fixes include resolving disconnection issues with calls over Wi-Fi, making cellular connectivity more reliable, input synchronization (Issue #279560321) and ensuring that the OS can detect the SIM card regularly. If users are running Beta 3.2, they should receive this update as an OTA download.

However, if the update hasn't yet arrived on the user's device, they can manually go into the Settings, System menu and the System Updates section to initiate the download. Users should see the update with the build number T3B3.230413.009 /.A1 for Pixel 6 series devices on Verizon and T3B3.230413.003 for all other devices.

Manually Installing Android 14: The Potential Benefits and Challenges

For those interested in trying out the Beta versions of Android, users can opt into the wider Beta Program or manually install the OS. If users go with the latter choice, they should remember that it is not as stable as the public release version of Android 13.

If users opt for Android 14, their experience will be smoother, but it could also be more prone to bugs as the OS is still developing. It's a double-edged sword in this regard. In any case, this Android 13 QPR3 Beta 3.2 update, as detailed in an article by 9to5Google, should improve the overall experience for users with compatible Pixel devices.

Experience Fixes and Improve Connectivity with the Android 13 QPR3 Beta 3.2 Update

This update should also allow the users to experience various fixes related to connectivity and the ability for the SIM card to be properly detected by the OS. While this isn't a major update introducing new features, these fixes should be essential if users rely on their Pixel device for daily activities.

With the Android 13 QPR3 Beta 3.2, Google ensures that everyone using such an OS sees their experience rolling along as smoothly as possible. If users are on an older device still receiving updates, the update can be manually installed.

If users are eager to try out the world of betas, the Android Beta Program is always open for enrollment.
