In response to modern problems, there are plenty of proposed solutions to alleviate overpopulation and seawater rise, with one from a Japanese company called N-ARK, with the floating sustainable concept, Dogen City. This new concept aims to bring everything a human needs and wants in a remote floating city, complete with healthcare and smart features for all.

The developers and people assigned to the project envision a coastal community that has everything it needs, also safe from natural disasters looming around the corner.

N-ARK introduced Dogen City to the world and bring a "smart healthcare city on the ocean" concept that may very well be the future for some. Note that this is still in its early concept and there may be massive changes to its different aspects or elements.

The floating city integrates different aspects of life in it including food environment, data, energy, architecture, and ocean resource in one. Its main focus is healthcare, providing the needs of a person in one place.

Dogen City was designed to withstand tsunamis and other natural disasters, serving as a small haven that is around 1 mile in diameter and approximately 2.5 miles in circumference, as per Interesting Engineering

Moreover, the continued rise of sea levels makes Dogen City a smart choice for the future.

The Answer to Overpopulation, Rising Seawater, and MORE

Lands can no longer be expanded apart from reclaimed areas and other projects. However, that too is threatened by the problem of rising seawater, with Dogen City being a significant answer to its problem.

Despite its early designs only focusing on small communities, this floating and sustainable city is modular in design and can be expanded when the need to accommodate more arise.

Dogen City proves to be one iconic concept for the future of living, one where everyone's needs may be answered by a single community offshore.

Earth's Massive Problems in its Lands

There are significant projects and developments from different companies which look into alleviating the problems which the Earth is facing in the present. One development is from Japan which is looking to build multiple hydrogen energy projects from its $105 billion budget for projects to cut emissions caused by daily operations on the planet.

However, despite the multiple efforts from different plans and companies, there is still a massive risk that Global Warming brings, and its effect is now manifesting in certain areas. In the United States, coastal communities are now threatened by the rising groundwater that is affecting the area and soon may be enveloped by its unstoppable rise.

N-ARK from Japan is now looking to develop a first-of-its-kind floating sustainable city that will answer these problems, one that can adapt to its environment and harbor life offshore. Dogen City has the potential to answer different problems that are present now in the world, serving as a coastal community that has everything it needs for all.
