The Apple Vision Pro is coming next year, but the company is already ramping up production for the first-ever mixed-reality headphones it brings, alongside mainland Chinese companies. The Cupertino giant's supply chain for the Vision Pro brings seven companies from China to deliver the hardware it needs to deliver the new wearable to life.

Cupertino's revelation in its showcase earlier this month brought a promising device that is set to trump all other AR/VR wearables in the market, centering on its extensive list of tech.

The South China Morning Post reported that Apple has given the Luxshare Precision Industry Co. the lead to assemble the highly-awaited Vision Pro mixed-reality headset. It is widely known that Apple products are designed in California, but their assembly takes place in China, with most of its parts also manufactured in the East Asian country.

Luxshare is best known for being the major supplier of the AirPods lineup and has recently won the order for the iPhone 15 that is coming later this year to usher in the new era of the Apple smartphone.

As per the analysis of Wellness XR, the latest bill of materials (BOM) from Luxshare revealed that it is the major assembler of the upcoming Vision Pro from the Cupertino company.

A Total of Seven Chinese Companies for Vision Pro

As per SCMP, six other mainland China companies were tapped by Apple to supply the Vision Pro with the parts that it needs to make the device.

However, Taiwanese tech firms are still the most accounted for the Vision Pro's production, as a total of 11 companies are set to bring the components needed to complete the device.

Apple's Vision Pro and What to Expect

The lead-up to Apple's recent WWDC 2023 was massive, as the tech industry has speculated on Apple's mixed-reality headset that it will unveil at the event, with many rumors saying that it will do. Come the actual event, the public was surprised with "One More Thing" from Apple's keynote, and this is in the form of the new Apple wearable.

Vision Pro's revelation was massive for all Apple fans, enthusiasts, and analysts as this was the device that everyone has talked about for the past year. This device also marks the first time that Apple is entering the real market with its AR/VR headset that brings both experiences via the device, complete with all the premium features.

With the Vision Pro out of the proverbial bag of Apple's unreleased tech, the public is awaiting the actual availability of the wearable from the market, focusing on Cupertino's actions before it arrives. Production is on its way and Apple has tapped in multiple mainland Chinese companies for the major components needed to make the Vision Pro.
