New leaks for "Fortnite" suggest that a fan-favorite weapon will return to the famed battle royale game. This gun weapon was said to arrive soon at Epic Games' top-grossing shooter game.

However, while this weapon brings back hopes for players who enjoyed its devastating power, the leakers claimed there would be significant changes to its stats. The possibility of this weapon getting nerfed is high, but it may provide gamers with better abilities in some areas.

'Fortnite' Leaks Claim a Favorite Gun is Coming Back

Leakers have flooded social media platforms regarding the upcoming return of the fan-favorite weapon on "Fortnite." Best known for its devastating power, the Pump Shotgun has been rumored to be returning to the game.

According to HypeX, this weapon is making a comeback, but there will be several changes to its statistics and power.

"Fortnite" is best known for rotating weapons' availability in the game to give gamers different experiences and diversify their choices in dominating the Battle Island.

Since the start of Chapter 4, the Pump Shotgun has been absent, and gamers have constantly been monitoring its return, which is reportedly in Season 3.

Is This Returning Weapon at 'Fortnite' Getting Nerfed?

FNAssist gives more in-depth details regarding the return of this weapon, and instead of being called the Pump Shotgun, it would be the Sharp Tooth Shotgun that brings tweaks to the previous release.

First, the gun would have a tighter pellet spread for each shot, making it possible to bring damage from longer distances. Combining the data from both leaks, gamers could expect as much as 160 to 192 headshot damage from the weapon at Legendary Rarity, making it one explosive gun.

'Fortnite' and the Famous Battle Royale

The developers of "Fortnite" are known for listening to calls and requests from gamers, bringing several unique additions to the game.

The game is also updated with the latest happenings in popular culture. It added new skins and features via its collaborations, and most recently, with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The long-running game is not yet looking to bring a sequel title, focusing more on Chapter and Season updates that cater to various content for gamers.

Epic Games has given players much to enjoy with "Fortnite," but it also went overboard when it brought the Call of Duty-themed maps, leading to Activision Blizzard taking them down.

Character skins, maps, and additional content are one aspect of the game, but it still centers on guns and special weapons being a shooter game.

The Pump Shotgun has previously brought "Fortnite" gamers a chance to go on up-close battles with devastating power, and its absence will soon be answered by this new weapon cited in the leaks.
