While jade is popular in Chinese culture as a precious stone with many meanings, a recent Microsoft accessory uses this unique material. As part of a unique celebration, the company has just commissioned a special Xbox controller made out of jade.
According to Niche Gamer, Microsoft commissioned the Xbox controller to be made out of the precious stone jade. The outlet describes jade as an ornamental stone that can often be found in traditional Chinese jewelry.
Microsoft Commissioned the Xbox Jade Controller in Celebration of 'Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty'
This commission was not just a random project by Microsoft. It was done to celebrate the launch of "Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty." Visionary craftsman Andy Chi reportedly produced the jade Xbox controller.
Chi had to use a combination of traditional methods and modern CNC milling to craft the Xbox controller infused with jade. The project was done in partnership with Xbox Game Pass.
'Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty' Is Reportedly Available to Play on Windows PC Via Steam and Multiple Other Consoles
A video of the project titled "Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty: The Power of Jade" was uploaded to YouTube. It comes in celebration of the "Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty" game launched in March 2023.
According to Niche Gamer, the "Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty" game is available on Windows PC via Steam. However, the game is not an Xbox exclusive, and it can also be played on rivaling Sony consoles.
That means the title is available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, not just on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. On its Steam page, the game can be seen with a 79 Metacritic score despite winning the 2022 Japan Game Awards.

Classification of 'Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty' and Bonuses Buyers Can Purchase
"Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty" is an action-role playing game featuring a nameless soldier who sets out to stop a bad guy. Players have the option to purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Additional contents with new stages, enemies, weapons, and lore were also for sale: "Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Season Pass" and "Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Battle of Zhongyuan."
Players could reportedly get more with the "Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Digital Deluxe Edition" since the set includes the full game, digital art book, digital mini soundtrack, and even the Season Pass.
The other two downloadable contents for the game, titled Conqueror of Jiangdong and Upheaval in Jingxiang, are reportedly scheduled to release this September.
