Google is reportedly in the middle of what was described as its largest summer release for new hardware in years, welcoming the Pixel 7a, the Pixel Tablet, and the Pixel Fold to its roster of devices.

Google Pixel Update was Launched in July for Multiple Devices, Except the Pixel Fold

According to Android Police, it was reported that as the new models were launched, the company also showed the same software support the Pixel name is known for.

The new Google Pixel update was released last week and made available for multiple Pixel devices, except for one not on the list. The Android Police reported that the update was not available for the Pixel Fold.

Exclusion of the Google Pixel Fold in the Update Was Fixed, but No Direct Answer Was Given

Google has finally set things right by releasing the Pixel Fold's July patch. Google has included the Google Pixel Fold among the hardware the company listed when initially announcing the July update. However, the foldable remained missing from the OTA repositories and factory image.

Only a few days behind other devices, the Fold downloads have finally arrived. It reportedly includes support for international and carrier editions. Google has not yet offered any explanation for this delay.

Google Update TQ3C.230705.001.C1 Launched for the Pixel Fold Device

Despite not being officially announced or clarified as to why the company decided to delay the update for the Google Pixel Fold, what matters now is that the new update is finally available for its users.

According to Android Police, it is not really a big deal why the company did not include the Pixel Fold in the first place since it is now included. The outlet also highlighted how the new software release, TQ3C.230705.001.C1, is finally accessible on the user's Pixel Fold phone.

Android Police also suggested that users with the Pixel Fold should go easy on the phone since the hardware did not seem the "most robust" around.

Google Pixel Fold to Get New Updates

With regards to why the update was delayed, nobody can tell. However, since the Pixel Fold smartphones are some of the newest gadgets the company is launching, buyers can rest assured that they will most likely be included in software updates.

That is because Google often ensures that its latest devices get the latest software updates to make them even more appealing to potential buyers. Google releases a monthly software update that could be more advantageous for the company's older devices.

Google's new foldable phone combines the helpfulness of Pixel with a design that unfolds into a compact tablet, unlocking more ways for users to use their device.

It is powered by Google's Tensor G2 chip, which also makes it fast and secure. When flipped to open, it reveals a 7.6-inch screen with a thinner profile than any other foldable smartphones on the market.
