Many users on X have been pondering what is the meaning of Ed Boon's, Mortal Kombat 1's Director, recent posts, especially as he has been talking about a specific character over and over. Some believe that this is because that said character would soon be joining the roster of the upcoming game from NetherRealm and WB Games.

In several months, Mortal Kombat 1 will arrive for the world to experience the revamp of the famed series, and this is one of the most anticipated fighting games to arrive this year.

Mortal Kombat 1's Ed Boon is Teasing an Old Character

Ed Boon is up again with another X post regarding an old character from the MK franchise, known as the "secret ninja" Reptile, being mentioned many times already by the director. It is now a subject for speculation by the renowned speculator behind MK games, The Tiny, to be an upcoming character for Mortal Kombat 1.

In another post, Boon asked his followers what the restaurant has in common with EVO (the games showcase event). This was after he initially revealed that this image is the same place where the character of Reptile was born 31 years ago.

Earlier this week, Boon also posted Reptile illustrations on his account, as submitted by a user, highlighting more of the character.

Will this MK Character Arrive on MK1?

It remains unknown if Reptile is making a debut on Mortal Kombat 1, and considering that this is a revamp of the series, it is understandable to add or remove characters despite being iconic or favored by the fans.

For now, the public has to wait for the next EVO showcase where Mortal Kombat and the team will expand more about the game, hopefully, unveiling its official roster coming.

Mortal Kombat 1

A massive hype is now looming over Mortal Kombat 1, and this is because of the details surrounding the game, and to add to the fact that this will change the experience for all as it is a series revamp. Earlier this year, there have been leaks regarding the upcoming characters who will join the roster, leaking Sindel and Li Mei also coming.

It was also believed that Mortal Kombat 1 will feature the likes of Megan Fox and Travis Scott as skins to apply for characters in the game, as observed in the previous releases of the company. The characters these two would represent remains unknown, but it was earlier confirmed that Johnny Cage's alternative skin would be Hollywood action star, Jean Claude Van Damme.

The roster is still hazy with regards to Mortal Kombat 1 and there is no official list yet on who players will get upon launch of the forthcoming game. That being said, these teasers from Boon are also not helping, as it confuses the fans and gaming industry about who to expect, should Reptile be a part of this modern revamp.
