Vegas Loop of The Boring Company Approved for Expansion

The Las Vegas City Council has approved the expansion of one of the most remarkable infrastructures in Las Vegas, the Hyperloop underground tunnel network made by the Elon Musk-owned Boring Company.

From its short trip from the airport to the city down to select partner establishments, the Vegas Loop has been approved to be expanded to a 68-mile or 109-kilometer tunnel network with 21 new stations to be placed within the city's boundaries.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that The Boring Company's planned expansion for the Loop has received approval from the Las Vegas Council. The initial plan for the Vegas Loop was only for 51 stations and 29 miles.

Google Chrome's Download Tray Replaces the Bar

For a long time, Google Chrome users have been given the download bar where the files downloaded from online sources are displayed underneath the browser and show their progress. However, Google announced last week that it will deploy the download tray at the top right-hand corner of the browser, after the address bar field.

It was revealed via Google support that the downloaded files will already appear to the right of the address bar, and the company has various reasons for this change.

Some users were reportedly annoyed at Chrome's bottom downloads bar, which adjusts the screen size while downloading the files. It also does not adhere to Chrome's modern look.

The new download tray seems to resemble what Safari and Firefox have. Their download icons are located at the top right.

MMORPG Simulates The World's End on Study

Games have already brought us several alternate or dystopian realities, providing a platform that could expand the public's imagination and actual representation of what they feel and get immersed in it.

This is what researchers utilized to get information and data on how gamers would react when faced with real-world scenarios.

In this latest study, researchers used an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) to simulate the end of the world via a closed beta test of the game called ArcheAge.

The beta test saw mixed reactions from 270 million players in the game, with some going on a carnage like there is no tomorrow, and some, choosing to end their in-game lives peacefully.

Other gamers decided to carry on with their normal activities or planned objectives despite the virtual world ending.
