Leaks about the iPhone 15 are piling up and the new Apple smartphone got another one as it is nearing its supposed release date this September, with the company saying goodbye to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This is because it will see a rebrand to the iPhone 15 Ultra, a name that Apple has significantly used for its top-tier, high-performance devices from before.

Its entire lineup also saw a significant leak about the new charger too, with Apple offering a USB-C braided cable that gives a different look to the traditional iPhone wires.

Goodbye iPhone 15 Pro Max, Hello iPhone 15 Ultra

Over the weekend, leakers have gone on to reveal exciting new things for the Apple smartphone that is coming this second week of September, with the iPhone 15 Pro Max seeing an exit in place for another namesake. Soon, the public may see an entirely new device called the iPhone 15 Ultra, the larger version of the iPhone 15 Pro, with the revamp changing how they see the smartphone.

According to Andrew O'Hara, this information was available since before, and there are many claims that this monicker would bid farewell to the renowned Pro Max variants that have been used since the 11 series.

Many have already claimed that the Ultra is coming to the iPhone 15, but leakers have referred to it as Pro Max which many thought would stay the same. However, it would not be like this once the new smartphone is released.

Apple to Offer Braided USB-C Cables

On the other hand, another leaker has popped up over the weekend with significant details about its charging cable update, with Majin Bu from X sharing details and photos of Apple's new braided USB-C wires.

The leaker claimed that these are Apple's new charging wires for the iPhone 15 and would come inside the box and not sold separately despite seeing the upgrade. It also comes in a variety of colors including white, black, yellow, pink, blue, and purple.

iPhone 15 Leaks and Speculations

In line with the iPhone 15's "Ultra" variant, a previous leak that surfaced before corroborates this name change with the dedicated "Action" button that will arrive alongside this device. This Action button will replace the Mute switch that the iPhone has used for the last 16 years since it was released, with the slider bidding farewell on the Pro and Ultra version of the device.

Speculations also revealed that the iPhone 15 Ultra, a.k.a. Pro Max, will be more expensive than the previous models and the other variants that will join alongside its launch.

However, one looming claim that may doom the iPhone 15 lineup's release is a shortage due to its display production which was said to affect Apple's delivery of the upcoming smartphone.

With September on the horizon and the iPhone 15 highly anticipated by the public, more leaks are coming with significant proof about how the flagship smartphone would arrive for all to see. The Pro Max is seeing an exit and the last of it would be with the 14, with Apple speculated to bring the iPhone 15 Ultra as the new flagship, alongside braided USB-C cables to match.
