Dallas-based startup founder Shayan Hamidi has identified a longstanding issue within the real estate industry: the disjointed and cumbersome nature of the tools used by real estate agents.

Hamidi recognized that agents often have to juggle multiple digital products and services, each specialized for various tasks like listing, marketing, and transaction management.

In response, according to The Dallas Morning News, he set out to create Rechat, a comprehensive mobile "super app" that consolidates these tools into one platform.

Simplifying the Real Estate Experience

Hamidi's vision is to simplify the real estate experience for agents by providing a single platform that encompasses various aspects of the home-selling process. Rechat focuses on three main components: relationships, marketing, and transaction management.

The app offers a range of features, including social media campaigns, videos, websites, newsletters, market analysis, transaction details, and compliance documents.

Rechat primarily targets real estate brokerages, offering its services on an enterprise level. The app can be customized with the brokerage's branding and integrated with services like Google and Outlook.

Additionally, it pulls in market data from listing services, providing agents with comprehensive insights. One of Rechat's standout features is its ability to streamline the marketing process.

When an agent lists a property, the app automatically generates an entire marketing campaign, encompassing social media posts and videos. This automation saves agents time and ensures a consistent and professional marketing approach.

The startup has demonstrated strong growth, boasting over 10,000 agents, predominantly in the US luxury market. Rechat has collaborated with esteemed brokerages such as Douglas Elliman, Sotheby's, and Serhant.

The startup's success has been underscored by its revenue performance. Hamidi noted that Rechat has achieved eight-figure sales, doubled revenue consecutively for three years, and maintained profitability for two years.

Rechat's AI Co-Pilot

In its pursuit of innovation, Rechat has developed Lucy, an AI tool powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT and tailored for the real estate industry.

Lucy serves as an "AI co-pilot," assisting agents with tasks such as reminders, creating presentations, emails, client-specific home searches, and explaining legal forms.

Hamidi views AI as a complementary tool, enhancing agents' capabilities rather than replacing them. He believes AI can augment agents' productivity by handling initial drafts and routine tasks, allowing agents to focus on higher-level activities.

Rechat's innovative approach to streamlining real estate processes and its integration of AI have positioned the startup as a contender in the National Association of Realtors' Pitch Battle competition, where it will compete alongside other companies aiming to revolutionize the industry.

"We think this will be the biggest transformation, especially with this industry, the kind of work that happens in this industry and how it could impact it," Hamidi told The Dallas Morning News. "This is just the very beginning of it."
