Nintendo has announced that the next Nintendo Direct is set to happen on Thursday at 10 AM ET.

According to an early report by Gematsu, Nintendo will unveil the batch of Switch titles that will be launching in winter.

The Nintendo Direct will be broadcast via YouTube and the company's official website.

Earlier this month, Tech Times reported that a leaker claimed that Nintendo will host the next Direct event in September. Surprisingly, it turned out that this leak became true as of today.

According to NateTheHate2, the tipster behind this report, the Nintendo Direct will be primarily focused on Winter 2023 releases, which again was true.

With this, Switch users have mixed opinions about the upcoming list of games that will be coming soon.

What Nintendo Switch Games Are Gracing Winter 2023?

On Reddit, several users shared their sentiments about the Nintendo Direct this week. According to one Redditor, she wishes to see the Switch version of Wind Waker or Twilight Princess.

Her statement was supported by another commenter who claimed that Wind Walker HD will be released in 2024 while the Twilight Princess HD will launch in 2025. Both of them will cost $60 upon release.

Another interesting game that could potentially arrive in winter is the remake version of "Fire Emblem 4." Since this was a rumor in the past, some fans could not get over the fact that it could soon debut on a new platform.

On top of that, some users believe that Mario Kart 9 will be teased on Switch. Nintendo could have a chance to do that, but some reports said that it could be a Switch 2-exclusive title.

For those who are hoping that "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" will have DLC, unfortunately, it won't happen anytime soon.

Tech Times wrote in an early report that the Zelda creator has already confirmed that the team won't add any DLC for TOTK.

While this is a heartbreaker for Zelda fans, this could mean that the next Zelda installment will debut on a new console.

Will Nintendo Announce Switch 2 on Direct Showcase?

Some insiders claimed that Nintendo had demoed the Switch 2 to some devs at Gamescom 2023 in Cologne, Germany.

While reports came from reputable sources such as Eurogamer and VGC, the person who leaked it still remains unknown so that leaves room for doubt to swiftly believe about it.

It would be a waste for Nintendo to tease the new console as early as now. It's not impossible either, but this could spoil the fun for Switch gamers who are just getting started playing their newly-gotten console.
