Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is highly awaited by the world and is coming later this October, but a new teaser from another of Insomniac Games' projects, Marvel's Wolverine, opens up a possibility of a future crossover. At the top of it all is Insomniac Games, tasked with delivering the various Marvel games exclusively for the PlayStation, providing a new update to the 2021-unveiled title.
Towards the end of 2021, the PlayStation showcase had Insomniac Games being its star partner in creating Marvel games, and almost two years later, the informal update to Wolverine is in the form of a crossover.
Marvel's Spider-Man to Crossover with Marvel's Wolverine?

Insomniac Games' Creative Director, Brian Horton, has posted a cryptic message over at X, sharing an image of "The Amazing Spider-Man Number 592" cover that depicts Wolverine, the famed X-Man. In his words, Horton said that "Worlds collide 2" and added hashtags of "#wolverine" and "#SpiderMan," but did not reveal anything further.
Since Horton is best known for his work over at Insomniac Games, this was considered by many to be a teaser that possibly hints at a crossover between Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Wolverine, both of which are standalone games.
Insomniac already proved that crossovers are possible as it brought Peter Parker and Miles Morales together in a single game, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, set to release this October 20.

Will Insomniac Games Deliver on this Teaser?
Insomniac has yet to deliver information regarding Marvel's Wolverine, a game that it revealed two years ago on the PlayStation Showcase. No other information was revealed regarding the game for almost two years until this tweet from Horton, with many believing it to be a foreshadowing of a future crossover from the company.

For now, take this with a grain of salt, as no official confirmations were made regarding a crossover.
Marvel's Wolverine and Spider-Man
Marvel's Wolverine is among the top anticipated games that Sony and Insomniac Games teased before 2021 ends, with the companies promising a 2023 release date for the title. However, it was speculated that this would arrive by 2024, with the company developing this alongside the much-awaited sequel of the original Spider-Man games to follow through from 2018 and 2020.
It was previously speculated that Sony is planning something big for its Marvel titles available on the PS5, centering on revolving around its two current developments via Insomniac. While it was not explicitly named, speculators claimed that this multiplayer game would focus on Spider-Man and X-Men franchises to arrive in one game, also expected to be a PS5 exclusive.
With the previous hint of a multiplayer game that would center on Spider-Man and Wolverine, this new teaser from Insomniac's creative director for Marvel's Wolverine may have some weight around it. Certainly, this is also possible as both are licensed to Sony's PlayStation and Insomniac, speculated for one of the largest crossovers in modern gaming history.
