The recent review of the latest version of the Ultra wearable makes it one fine tech to own for more rugged activities, with its use by divers also proving to be a worthy experience.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 reviews are flooding in now, and one from CNET regards this watch as featuring better tech compared to the last one, equipped with the top diving tools that help give better information about what it offers. 

These two new and updated diving tools center on Apple's Depth app and the Oceanic Plus from Huish Outdoors, helping its users get massive data via the Apple Watch Ultra 2. First off, both Ultra variants (the first and the second), now see new features for free diving and more improvements.

Oceanic Plus 2.0

The Oceanic Plus 2.0 Free Diving offers a focus on the said discipline, focusing on going underwater without the use of tanks to breathe in oxygen. Oceanic Plus already offers a free version, but for free diving, users need to pay $10 monthly to get the special perks and features. 

There is a new stealth mode that dims the Apple Watch's screen by as much as 90 percent, also silencing the alarms, haptic feedback, and more so as not to disturb marine life. Another new feature also allows users to set custom metrics for maximum dive time and target depth.

It also features a weight planner that is needed for the dive, giving users information on the display heart rate, training zones, and recovery time when on the surface. 

Apple's Depth App

The Depth app launches whenever the watch is submerged in water or via the Action button, offering a way to save logs and session data on the watch for seven days, but is also available permanently on the Fitness app on the iPhone. 

The Apple Watch Ultra

Apple's September Fall event brought the world the iPhone 15, but with it comes the Apple Watch's new series and variants that provide an updated device for all. One of the most iconic releases in the previous event centered on the Apple Watch Ultra 2, with the flagship smartwatch, yet again seeing the light of day for a consecutive release from the company, centering on its improvements. 

Despite this year's release, massive leaks and rumors are already surrounding the next Apple Watch Ultra, speculated to be the Ultra 3, for its next upgrades and changes to the wearable. According to the Weibo leaker, the next Ultra variant of the watch would feature a micro LED display technology, with this being the wearable's "next major upgrade" for users. 

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 offers a better experience for divers with its new and updated tools, allowing a more in-depth perception of their data to help them know better underwater.
