The last iPhone 15 event was not the last the world would see of Apple this year, as new iPads are coming this week with the company unveiling these devices via an announcement. Instead of a dedicated Apple event, the Cupertino tech giant will center on delivering the news via its announcements and press releases, similar to what it did for the iPads and Macs before.

It is not new for Apple to announce its devices, mainly centering on refreshes or slight updates to a device, with various models of the iPad lineup seeing its debut.

Supercharged News released a report that there would be various Apple announcements coming this week, centering on the new iPad models that would introduce its latest refresh to the lineup. The report claimed that this was from sources familiar with Cupertino's media plans, with the company set to brief "select media personnel" focusing on its iPads.

First off, the much-awaited upgrade of the iPad Air that will bring an M2 chip is coming, a massive upgrade from its current M1 chip version available. Alongside this, the Cupertino giant will also allegedly feature a new iPad mini-series that will bring the A16 Bionic chip.

While there are no significant upgrades for the iPad lineup this year, this refresh would offer updated experiences with minor hardware upgrades.

What to Expect from 2023's New iPad Lineup?

The minor upgrades would center on several improvements for the iPad's use, but hardware and experiences would not change much for Tuesday's unveiling of the new devices.

One significant change here would be the iPad Mini issue known as "jelly scrolling," with Apple addressing the matter in this year's release.

Apple's iPad Development

The latest and most advanced iPad in the world now is the iPad Pro M2 which was unveiled last year, in October 2022, giving the world the professional large tablet paired with its renowned Silicon chip. Many are already expecting the arrival of the M3 this year, but sadly, there were no appearances in the majority part of the year, also signaling that M3 Macs or iPad Pros are not coming.

With everything that has happened, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that there would be no new iPad models this year, and the renowned insider claimed this ahead of the recent Wonderlust Apple event. According to Kuo, new iPad models will not arrive until next year, claiming that the company has a new hardware strategy, with the Mac lineup also not seeing a drop this 2023.

Many iPad lineups are expected by the world, and one centers on the much-awaited upgrade of the iPad Air to the M2 chips, following the lead of the iPad Pro from last year. That being said, Tuesday, October 17 is close for the world to see if there would be new releases for the iPad lineup from Apple, unveiling the latest refresh to the smart tablet, alongside massive experiences.
