In Toyota's last showcase, it unveiled the new Land Cruiser Se concept which it initially introduced to the world, and it features a different look for the massive SUV platform that the world knows. The Land Cruiser Se is only a concept, and it is unknown if Toyota has plans to translate this design for actual production in the future, as well as its availability in the future.

Toyota said that the Land Cruiser Se will offer a high-torque driving performance, along with a monocoque body for better handling, particularly for rough terrain.

The Land Cruiser Se is 202.75 inches long, 67.12 inches tall, and 78.35 inches wide, offering users a smaller but wider take on the SUV compared to its current-gen release.

Toyota is yet again inviting the world to its press briefing on the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2023.

Toyota's EV Development

One of the main focuses of car companies now is the electrification of its fleet and lineup in the market, with Toyota also part of this change, despite lagging slightly behind competitors. It previously announced its plans to develop a solid-state EV battery with Panasonic, promising as much as 745 miles of range for its future use, but is targeting to deliver 900 miles to its users.

Apart from the battery developments, Toyota has previously announced a somewhat controversial experience coming to its future electric vehicles, and this is with the "simulated manual transmission." It is important to note that electric vehicles do not have multi-speed transmissions, but a single-speed one or mode selectors to direct the electric motors on which motion to perform.

While there are no wide selections yet from Toyota on its fully-electric vehicles, a lot is coming in the future, with its BEVs soon catching up to the industry. This recent Land Cruiser Se concept gives a modern and futuristic take to the classic, the name which has always been a popular one for 4x4, off-roading, and rugged use, now featuring an SUV meant to transport the family in clean energy, unknown if it would translate to an actual vehicle.
