With features driven by the latest AI-powered technology and 4G Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, the Nextbase iQ transcends the role of a conventional dash cam, allowing users to proactively anticipate, prevent, and respond to incidents both on the road and while parked.

The Nextbase iQ, available exclusively in Best Buy stores across the United States and Canada, as well as online at BestBuy.com, Amazon.com, and Nextbase.com, starts at prices below $500 USD/$700 CAD.

Richard Browning, the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer for Nextbase, claimed that NextBase iQ is unlike anything that is available in the market today.

"It sets a new benchmark for dash cams. But more than that, it creates a whole new category by extending high-end smart home-style connectivity into the car and making advanced connected-car technology - on par or even better than that offered on the most expensive, tech-forward new cars - available to everyone, regardless of the age, type or value of their vehicle," Browning said in a press release

The Nextbase iQ introduces a level of safety and security similar to top-tier smart home systems, now seamlessly integrated into vehicles. Key features include Smart Sense Parking, Witness Mode, Emergency SOS, Live View, Real-Time Event Notifications, Voice Activation, and Driving/Security Mode.

The Nextbase iQ embodies an "evergreen product" concept, promising a continuous evolution through firmware updates and adding new features throughout the ownership period, irrespective of the date of purchase.

Several new features are already in the pipeline, including Guardian Mode, Push to Talk, Roadwatch AI, Encrypted Incident Reports, Driver Aware (AI-powered DMS), and Vehicle Aware (AI-powered ADAS).

These forthcoming features will be seamlessly accessible through the iQ's over-the-air update capability and robust automotive-grade CV chipset.
