Pavel Djundik, the renowned creator of the SteamDB insight tool, has shared his recent discovery on the games client platform which will add an option to hide certain games from your user profile. This was found under the three-dot menu, under the option called "Mark as Private" for one's selected game, and doing so could help conceal this from their profile, whatever the user's reason may be.

The feature further says "Mark this game as private and hide it from my friends," and being as straightforward as it can, it will help bury a certain game that profile visitors may discover.

According to Djundik, this is currently under development by Valve and Steam but did not reveal any information as to when it would be available.

Be in the Lowkey in Your Profile for Specific Titles

It remains unknown when this feature will be available, and there are no updates or announcements yet from Valve if this will officially be released or only a part of a test on Steam. While there are plenty of reasons to hide a game from one's profile, one thing is for sure, and that is this feature offers gamers a chance to be in the lowkey for a specific title they do not want to be associated with.

Valve's Steam and the Experience

While the main offer of Steam is to provide users with a client that brings them multiple games and easily access them via the library, it still focuses on improving the experience with each passing time. Earlier this year, Valve introduced a new Steam feature that will allow them to sort and track their Library backlogs better, allowing a chronological order to help determine a certain title better.

Moreover, with its renowned Steam Beta Client for Data, Valve recently enhanced its Linux and NVIDIA GPU experience for owners on their PCs. Several features from Steam see hardships for certain platforms like the NVIDIA GPU, and one example was the New Big Picture Mode that brought performance issues before, with this being one of the focus of the fix.

Improvements and enhancements are massive on Steam, as it is the client that delivers games and experiences to gamers, a gateway to their entertainment or livelihood. With this new "Mark as Private" feature, gamers may hide the titles that they are too ashamed to display on their profiles, allowing them to be in the lowkey amongst peers and acquaintances connected via the platform.
